GoTranscript

GoTranscript is transcription site that hires worldwide transcribers.

There are three levels: Transcriber, editor, and merger.

Transcriber

-As a transcriber, the amount of files you get access to is dependent on your overall rating. 5 star and 4.9 rated transcribers have access to all the available files, and have zero waiting minutes.

From 4.8 going downwards, they have a limitation to the number of files that are available to them on the dashboard, and have a certain number of minutes waiting time before they can access newly-added files. Wait time increases as the rating decreases.

– File unlocks are used to unlock any available file without having to wait. You can get unlocks by transcribing the red or blue files, which are usually difficult files. Once you’ve unlocked one file and completed it, one unlock is deducted from your unlocks. Unlocks come in handy for those with lower ratings.

-Job flow is high at night.

-The payment for a 10 minute audio file ranges from $2.33 up to 4+, depending on file difficulty and urgency. That said, with a good flow of work and good rating, one can earn 2k+ a day, depending on your effort.

– Payment is done every friday either through Paypal or Payoneer. There’s no withdrawal limitations.

– One has to maintain a rating of 3.6 and above to avoid account termination.

Editor

– As an editor, you get to edit files from multiple transcribers and rate them.

– To be an editor, you must complete 400 minutes of transcription within a 60-day period, and have a rating of 4.6 and above.

Merger

This is the highest level at GoTranscript.

Mergers basically combine the different file slices into one.
