Discussion Question 1: Treat Yourself!

Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to help students practice self-care and reflect on the experience in the context of learning and academics.

Do one of the following activities (listed below), and share with your class what you did, how it felt to have an assignment to get away from school work, and what commitments you need to make to “treat yourself” better as a student moving forward. Your post should be a minimum of 250-300 words. 

Choose one of the following activities: 

• Take your partner or family members or friends for an outdoor activity for an hour and play.
• Treat yourself to a manicure, pedicure, or both.
• Have a date night with your partner and tell them they must go because it’s an assignment.
• Take a nap – a real one.
