Leaders in every organization are responsible for communicating goals to their teams, but their approaches can differ based on role and leadership style. For example, a business operations manager, whose primary responsibility is to align operational needs with the organization’s broader business strategies, might break down high-level strategies into specific, measurable team objectives. In contrast, a marketing manager may use a more collaborative approach, holding team meetings to discuss goals, gather input, and build alignment to the business strategies.
Think about 2 organizational goals you’ve experienced in your career or researched for this course. Reflect on the stories and leadership styles that shaped how these goals were communicated and pursued, and respond to the following in a minimum of 450 words:
- How were the 2 goals communicated to managers and adapted for their teams? Did they align with the organization’s business strategies?
